Details: | 08.18.20 - I received an update from the operator of Salmon Run Golf Course today. Their distribution test result and raw water sample from the new well both came back positive for TC and negative for E. Coli. The operator believes the source of contamination came from the works they did when connecting the new well to the distribution system. Corrective Action: they are planning to shock chlorinate the system. The new well is not currently in use. They plan to start using the new source after getting approval by the DWS Plan Review Office. Currently, Salmon Run Golf is purchasing drinking water in bottles. The water in the storage tanks is water that was provided from a well owned by a neighboring company called Freeman Rock Inc. This is a private well and I don't have access to any information regarding the water quality. However, the Golf Course is using the water stored in the tanks only for maintenance, irrigation and flushing toilets. The boil water advisory will remain in place until they can meet the criteria for lifting the boil water advisory. I will email the criteria to lift the boil water notice and contact the State to determine the status of their plan review process. |
