| Details: | SUMMARY: Water quality alert response to positive Total Coliform DETAILS: On March 11, 2008 I spoke with George Scott about the positive total coliform test result for their system. I also faxed the "Required Sampling when a Routine Coliform Sample is Positive" page to him and also composed instructions for chlorinating the system based on his plans. ACTION NEEDED: As we discussed George will take four repeat samples: one at the positive site, one within 5 service connections upstream ( of the original sample point), one within 5 service connections downstream and one taken somewhere else in the system preferably the will. George mentioned that he plans to add 1/2 gallon of chlorine to the water system, and he is required to allow for contact time and flush out the system of chlorine afterwards. (The instructions detail more of the specific requirements.) | ||
