| Details: | SUMMARY: Chlorine pump malfunctioned and was replaced, but clorine residual dropped below 0.2 ppm DETAILS: Mr. George phoned to let the program know that a chlorine pump malfunctioned on June 14 and 15 .(Sat & Sun) and he replaced it on June 16. He said there was still a clorine residual in the distribution system and pressure tanks, but it had dropped below 0.2 ppm. Clorine readings, he stated, are taken once per day on the weekends and twice per day during the week. I told him Id get back with him on any action he needs to take. ACTION NEEDED: Ensure Marion Co (Greg DeBlase) follows up. I phoned Greg to inform him of the situation and to confirm whether or not the system is doing primary disinfection or just for residual maintenance. Recommended he have the system take two special coliform amples - at the well before any treatment and in the distribution system. Gregg said hed contact Jim and consult with him on the situation and follow up on myrecommendations. | ||
