| Details: | SUMMARY: OERS Incident 2008-1401 - Sewage Spill Rogue River DETAILS: Received notification that last night a "return sewage sludge line" broke spewing its contents for approximately ninety minutes before it was discovered. Between 300 and 500 gallons of sludge made it to a storm drain that leads to the Rogue River. They have repaired and sanitized their equipment, and cleaned the storm drain. They have tested the river at the outfall and confirmed that some of the material entered the river. Dennis had already notified the local DEQ office, and talked with Andy Ullrich, who told him to call us. Contacted Dennis for an update - no water systems had been contacted, however, no water systems are anticipated to be impacted. ACTION NEEDED: No further action needed. | ||
