| Details: | SUMMARY: Di(2-Ethylhexyl) - Phthalate Detection DETAILS: I received an alert for a detection of Di(2-Ethylhexyl) - Phthalate taken taken on 4/16/08 at 0.0006 mg/L, which is at the detection limit. This chemical has been ND in all past samples. Rick Aitken, the operator of the water system, took a confirmation sample that came out Non-Detect. Since the average of the original and confirmation samples are below the detection limit, the system does not need to sample quarterly-- however, they must sample in the 3rd quarter of 2008 anyway because their routine monitoring for SOCs is 2 consecutive quarters every 3 years. ACTION NEEDED: Rick Aitken will send the results of the confirmation sample to the Portland DWP office and will continue with routine monitoring. | ||
