| Details: | SUMMARY: Wells 1 (6th Street) and 2 (8th Street) wells appear to be commingling aquifers DETAILS: Greg DeBlase of Marion Co referred Mark to us because of Marks concern over the construction of Well 1 and Well 2. The Source Water Assessment for the City indicated that neither well was properly constructed and cascading water from a shallow aquifer was moving to a deeper aquifer. Mark would like to have the wells repaired and is looking for support that he can take to the City Council. I confirmed his concern but told him that we do not have authority over well construction in the state. I sent him to Kris Byrd of the Water Resources Department. ACTION NEEDED: None at present | ||
