| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive Private Water Sample DETAILS: ODA was contacted by DWP regarding a positive total coliform sample that was taken on June 18th. The DWP was requested to disregard the sample for it was a private sample and was accently sent to the DWP. Chuck Michael and I chatted regarding his concern of this sample being taken in the distribution system. I contacted Skylane Farms to talk with USDA who took the sample but he had already left for the day. I talked with the plant manager, David May, whom stated that USDA requires that USDA take their own coliform and iron tests every six months, even though the facility hires quarterly coliforms tests to be taken by The Waterlab Corp to full fill the DWP testing requirements. The faucet this sample was taken out of was next to the egg washer where there is a cocern for possible cross contaimation. After talking with Mr. May, I called and left a message with Mr. Michael stating what Mr. May had told me. ACTION NEEDED: Mr. Michael returned my call and left a message stating that he would disregard the sample and remove the repeat and routine testing requirements. | ||
