| Details: | SUMMARY: Total Coliform Positive DETAILS: Contacted Mary Shullanberger and informed here of the positive sample and she indicated the lab had already notified her of the positive sample. She was not sure of the cause, but she indicated that the faucet was not disinfected prior to sample collection. Informed here that she needed to collect 4 repeat samples, one at the positive location, one five connections upstream, one five connections downstream and one at the raw water sample tap. She indicated that the sample was collected at the pump house so the samples will need to be collected downstream from the well. Emailed the water system fact sheets on the following: Proper Sampling Techniques, Sampling Plan Template, How to Interpret Sample Results and How to Shock Chlorinate a Well. ACTION NEEDED: Collect 4 repeat samples by the end of July and 5 routine samples in August. If any of the repeats are positive then the system will need to perform a corrective action ( i.e. shock chlorinate the well) in order to resolve the problem. | ||
