| Details: | SUMMARY: E. coli positive DETAILS: This is the first FC-positive the well has gotten since the 1970s when Larry began work there. The well is a difficult to flush hand pump that requires 5-15 minutes to flush before one clears the standing water in the pipe. The frequent TC-positives are likely due to lack of adequate flushing due to the difficulty in sampling. Pete recommended posting a sign there and other campgrounds for samplers - who are the local concessionairres - and the public. Well is likely in an unconfined aquifer, but unknown. ACTION NEEDED: Post sign Await repeats Try to get copy of well log from Larry. |
