Details: | SUMMARY: Two of five temporary routine samples collected on 4/8/08 tested positive for total coliform DETAILS: According to on-site park manager, Heather Hill, the chlorine residual approached zero because the chlorine solution reservoir did not get refilled in time. The system is having some difficulty keeping up with the need to refill the reservoir on a nearly daily basis. I suggested that they purchase a larger reservoir and emphasized that the chlorine residual should not be allowed to drop below about one ppm for their system. I performed an unannounced check of the residual on 4/11/08. At that time the residual was measured at 5.5 ppm. I contacted the manager to have the system flushed immediately. Approximately three hours later the residual was approximately one ppm. Four repeat samples were collected. All repeat samples tested negative for Total Coliform ACTION NEEDED: Five temporary routine samples need to be collected in the month of May. | ||
