Details: SUMMARY: Nitrate sample collected on 12/06/07 had a level of 8.19ppm DETAILS: Sample collected on 12/06/07 was the fourth nitrate sample collected in 2007. The last two nitrate samples collected on 6/14/07 and 12/6/07 were below the MCL. The highest nitrate value recorded for the system was collected on 3/27/07 with a level of 10.8ppm(MCL violation). A letter was sent to the system explaining that they can return to annual nitrate sampling and requesting that they collect the annual sample in the first quarter (preferably March) of every year as that is when the highest value ever was recorded. ACTION NEEDED: No additional action will be required at this time. The system can return to annual nitrate monitoring.
