Details: | SUMMARY: Investigate recent Total Coliform and E-Coli Present results for bacterial testing DETAILS: In 2007 system underwent system authority changes. A Sanitary Survey was conducted 10/2007 that started bacteriological testing. This testing has shown consistent “Present” results for Total coliform and for E-coli at times. Shock chlorination of the system has been performed with marginal results. A site visit and review with water board members was requested by Gregg DeBlase of the Marion County Health Department to assess resolution, or determine if a continual disinfection system may be needed. I reviewed past shock chlorination procedures and results and discussed options for a final shock chlorination of only well 1 and the receiver tank with Mike Hammer and Stutzman Pump (Shane) to confirm whether or not the bacterial contamination is a source of waters issues. I coordinated the modification shock chlorination procedure, reviewed the results with John, Shane and Greg and completed and submitted evaluation report. ACTION NEEDED: System needs to pursue a continuous disinfection system. |
