| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert response - Coli5055 DETAILS: Met with owner of system George Head and talked about how to proceed with this system. It was decided that George would send a public notice to the users of Head Acres well C and then shock disinfect the well. After shocking the well operator will do 5 routines next week. During the visit we crafted a public notice. We also did an inspection of the well and found two sanitary defects and one bad sample site. The bad site was located outside the well house immediately following a point of use style cartridge filter. The sanitary defects included no screened vent and no slab around the well casing. Owner said he would fix the defects that day. Owner will also discontinue use of bad sample tap. ACTION NEEDED: DHS - Await repeat sample results. System - 1. Provided public notice to users 2. Shock disinfect well 3. Perform 5 routine samples. | ||
