| Details: | SUMMARY: discussed the 5.5 ppm nitrate result that was sampled on 6/3/08 DETAILS: The result was up from last years 4.9ppm but a bit lower from past years. Scott asked if the application of biosludge would affect the nitrate results because during the fall months the owners of the surrounding agricultural fields apply the sludge. I told him I would look into that. I noticed that the well is reported to be a 1969 well that is 450 deep. I am surprised to see nitrates in the groundwater at that depth. I asked Scott to check on the condition of the wellhead and surrounding area and report back with any findings. I also informed Scott that Linn County will be conducting a Water System Survey in the next 1-2 years ACTION NEEDED: Nothing. | ||
