| Details: | SUMMARY: Nitrate treatment system to combat the nitrate MCL exceedance DETAILS: February 29, 2008 I spoke with Bridget regarding the proposed nitrate treatment system (originally planned to be added to the system in January 2008). Bridget informed me that Darrell from Echo Water Systems had submitted the plans for this treatment system to the State Drinking Water Department. She also informed me that due to weather conditions during January the treatment setup was postponed and it is expected to be installed sometime in March. I asked her about Public Notice regarding the nitrate levels and she claimed that the notices were posted on walls, on tables and areas which are easily located by customers. ACTION NEEDED: Since the most recent nitrate water levels exceed the MCL the nitrate treatment system should be State approved and installed as soon as possible. Regarding the Public Notice in addition to posting the public notice on walls and tables throughout the facility the notice should also be handed to each customer who enters. | ||
