Details: | SUMMARY: Failure to conduct annual sampling for DPBs DETAILS: Validation for Violations for period ending 12/31/07 indicated the failure of this system to report annual CPBs. Contacted Peggi Ann Fish to discuss violation. Peggi noted that the government places too much burden on water systems and also the all volunteer board of Rink Creek Water District. I explained that water quality law is federally based and she should not assign all blame onto the State. She did not seem to care - obviously she is very dissatisfied with the State and very unhappy with the Coquille Water Dept and their handling of the District. I notified her that they needed to collect DPBs for 2008 soon (during warm season) - she indicated that they have scheduled to have samples collected within next two weeks. I also reminded her that the 2007 sample violation must be noted in their CCR - however, she thought that the District did not need to do a CCR - only Coquille. Although not true, I think this could be brought up during a later date while meeting face to face. ACTION NEEDED: Watch for submittal of 2008 DPBs. During next inspection, explain CCR requirements with regards to bulk purchasers of water. |
