| Details: | SUMMARY: Received copy of the July 15th 2008 boil water alert DETAILS: On August 25th, our office received a copy of the boil water notice dated July 15, 2008. The notice stated that the district had been placed under water restriction from their emergency water source, Wauna Water District. Customers were also reminded to boil their water for 1 minute before consuming it or using it to brush teeth, make ice, wash dishes, or to prepare food. The notice indicated that the Association was working with FEMA and the County to secure funding to access untapped springs in the Wauna Water District and to complete the merger of the two systems. Calvin Shulda (503-741-0134) was listed as the contact person if customers had further questions. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to distribute public notice quarterly and keep DWP updated on any progress regarding developing new sources or the merger. DWP has already received preliminary plans for the development of Knapp Springs in the Wauna Water District. | ||
