| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to systems positive total coliform routine sample. DETAILS: On 6/12/08 our Dept received an alert regarding total coliform positive routine test result. I spoke with Waiyen Yee on the phone and he informed me that their system is closed to the public at this time and being chlorinated. He mentioned that the chlorination process will also allow for contact time then on Sunday 6/15/08 the chlorinated water will be flushed out of the system. Monday 6/16/08 is when the repeat samples are scheduled to be taken. Then, if the repeat samples show as negative for total coliform the water system will re-open to the public. ACTION NEEDED: The process for collecting repeat samples: One sample at the site where the positive coliform result showed up, one sample within five connections upstream, one sample within five connections downstream and another sample somewhere else in the system. Then in July five routine samples are required. Mr. Lee is familiar with these procedures. | ||
