| Details: | SUMMARY: Detection of Total Coliform DETAILS: Received Water Quality Alert late Friday afternoon on 9/5/08 - left message on Mr. Elmores telephone answering machine with instructions. Mr. Elmore called me on Monday morning (9/8/08) to discuss. He was aware of coliform positive and had already initiated instructions to laboratory to send additional sample containers. We discussed sampling requirements (4 repeats) and also 5 routine next month. He indicated that he felt the source was the sampling location used - seasonal use house - vacant for last 7 months - outside hose bib. I asked if this house was on their Coliform Monitoring Plan - he said they did not have one. I suggested they put one together and directed him to the DWP website. He will be extra careful in collection of repeat samples and is hopeful that all samples will be absent of coliforms. ACTION NEEDED: Watch for results from repeat sampling. | ||
