| Details: | SUMMARY: Three out of 4 repeats tested positive for total coliform DETAILS: 7/2/08 - I delivered a public notice to the system. They re providing all guests with the notice and providing bottled water. It will be chlorinated on 7/3/08. 7/7/08 - Jerry informed that the system was chlorinated by Desert Pump. They think the UV may have gone down momentarily. Two special samples were collected today in the distribution system. 7/9/08 - Space 3 tested positive for total coliform while space 13 tested negative. I informed Jerry that they have to remain on public notice. He is having the system chlorinated again today. On my recommendation he is going to request that they install a continuous chlorination system. I informed him of the plan review requirements. 7/10/08 - Jerry called Scott Curry and said the chlorination system is being installed today. 7/15/08 - Jerry informed me that he is checking the chlorine residual daily and it is running a consistent 0.2ppm - 0.3ppm. He is collecting two special samples today. 7/16/08 - Both special samples collected tested [positive for total coliform. I visited the system and could not determine any problems with the chlorination system. 7/21/08 - Two additional special samples tested negative for total coliform. The system was running over 2ppp when the samples were collected. I asked Jerry to let the residual drop back down to normal levels (0.2-0.3) and collect additional samples. 7/24/08 - Five temporary routine samples were collected with the chlorine residual at approximately 0.5ppm. 7/25/08 - All temporary routine samples tested negative for total coliform. ACTION NEEDED: The system may return to submitting quarterly routine coliform samples. | ||
