| Details: | SUMMARY: Complaint received on City of Hood Rivers tap water DETAILS: A complaint was received by a consumer that there was a slight amount of slime forming in his tap water after it was poured into a cup. This was confirmed by Hood River County Environmental Health Department. Contact was made with Dave, who had not received any other complaints. It was discussed that the City generally maintains a low chlorine residual in the distribution system, and this may lead to biofilm growth, that might cause a problem. ACTION NEEDED: The City will take a special sample at the individuals tap, have the sample analyzed for total coliform and chlorine residual, and send the results into DWP. DWP to assist as necessary, especially if the special sample is total coliform positive. DWP to consult with County on appropriate means to respond to individual after results of special sample are received. | ||
