| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive total coliform DETAILS: On August 13, 2008 I called the water system and spoke with Vivian about the positive water sample. She informed me that the water sample was taken at a location where thirty year old carpet was torn up and removed, thus exposing fine dust and particles into the air. She believes that the sample showed up as positive for that reason and that the exposed dust affected the sample outcome. ACTION NEEDED: The system needs to take 4 repeat samples, one at the site where the positive result was found, one within four connections upstream, one within four connections downstream, and another sample location in the distribution system. Vivian mentioned that she would contact me once the 4 repeat samples were taken. | ||
