| Details: | SUMMARY: none DETAILS: The Hood River County Health Department received a call from Jeff Mitchell, Maintenance Mechanic, USDA Forest Service, Columbia River Gorge NSA in response to positive results for 2 of 5 routine coliform monitoring samples. Positive results were acknowledged by two independent laboratories. The water system will proceed immediately with repeat sample collection and they have posted a public notice and will follow repeat sample collection with shock chlorination. Plans are still ongoing to submit engineering proposals to replace/repair the existing well to restore/improve the water source. The alternative to replace the well is under consideration and the state DWP is now involved in the dialog. ACTION NEEDED: The Hood River County Health Department will continue to work with the USFS Wyeth Campground to assure potable water is restored. | ||
