| Details: | SUMMARY: On line Chlorine and Turbidity Monitoring DETAILS: HBH was contacted by system following a Sanitary Survey from DWP. The small community water system pulls water from Rock Creek. This water is treated by an old Key-Pac CCB package treatment plant. This plant is a conventional process using hydraulic coagulation/flocculation, followed by sedimentation, then rapid sand filtration. Following treatment, disinfection is accomplished using liquid NaOCI. The system supplies 19 homes with an estimated population of 40. One of the requirements of the Sanitary Survey was for the water system to automatically monitor chlorine residual and turbidity, and to provide for an emergency shutoff problem callout. Previously recommended set-up to allow for the on-line chlorine and turbidity monitoring. Based on conversations with DWP staff, modified on-line monitoring system recommendations. ACTION NEEDED: Provide further assistance with Sanitary Survey issues, including contact tracer study. | ||
