Details: | SUMMARY: Water pressure problems DETAILS: System was referred by DWP for technical assistance follow up from a Sanitary Survey. The system experiences low water pressures and wants to upgrade distribution piping. An engineering report was prepared by Dyer Partnership regarding the existing pressure problems and water line replacement costs. One on site pressure test at a house hose bibb with fixtures in use was performed by the Department of Human Services staff during the survey and found to be 18 psi. Measurements prior to the water meter are necessary as internal plumbing configurations can influence pressure readings. I met with Cammie to discuss the low pressure problems and what the system is doing to address it. They have hired Phil Mattson to secure grants and low interest loans to obtain money for the project. I also discussed obtaining/borrowing a water pressure data logger to connect to the 2 inch distribution pipe to record actual pressure problems in the system. This could be connected to the main for at least a week and record pressures continually. I researched finding/renting/borrowing a data logger and have been unsuccessful up to this point. ACTION NEEDED: Continue searching for water pressure data logger. |
