| Details: | I visited the site and took some photos along with discussing options for the water system with Carla Klooster. Specifically, she will take a new nitrate and coliform at the source (wellhead) to determine source water quality. Carla accidentally took previous samples from a tap post-UV treatment. Carla also reports she will find an individual to clean the below ground tank and check the integrity of the walls of the tanks. Some observations for potential points of contamination in addition to the cement storage tank include cracked floor around the casing, cracked wellhead and/or sewer line adjacent to the tank (if both the sewer line or tank are cracked/leaking). Carla will contact our office when the tank is cleaned and follow up on other options if contamination of drinking water persists. If the system is made to need major repairs she reports it would be more feasible to close the trailer park home. |
