| Details: | SUMMARY: Recommendations for Increasing Chlorine Contact Time DETAILS: PWS owns and operates a groundwater system that serves approximately 50 people through 23 connections. The system source is a well. The water is disinfected at the well using liquid NaOCI. The system originally contacted HBH to provide a contact tracer study as required by DWP. The tracer study revealed that the contact time does not meet the 30 minutes required for groundwater systems using continuous chlorination. I visited the system to investigate potential strategies for providing additional contact time in the space available to the system. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to assist system with solution for inadequate contact time. | ||
