Details: | SUMMARY: Anonymous complaints concerning the water since samples are not collected by a third party. DETAILS: 6/25/08 I met with owner Gerry Lehrburger and operator Neil Gray. Two special water samples were collected, one from the kitchen sink and one from space 20. Both samples tested negative for total coliform. I determined that spring water is plumed into the two massage rooms in the building. Both sinks are clearly marked non potable. There is also a spring water hose bib on the pool deck that was unmarked. That hose bib has now been labeled non potable. Gerry is planning on constructing two new bathroom facilities. He has considered plumbing the new bathroom sinks with non potable spring water (clearly labeled) but will consult a Jackson County plumbing inspector to determine if that is feasible. After a close inspection of the well water supply and the spring water supply I discovered no potential cross connections. Both anonymous complainants were called and informed of the results of my investigation. ACTION NEEDED: Gerry needs to determine whether or not the new bathrooms can be legally plumbed with spring water. Additionally, if the plumbing inspector indicates that the massage rooms must be plumbed with potable water then the current spring supply going into the rooms needs to be removed. |
