| Details: | Talked with Eddie Montgomery with Douglas County Parks today regarding the source at Whistler's Bend Park. They switched over from the well (SRC-AA) to the North Umpqua River (SRC-AB) on 6/8/20. The turbidity readings were high (around 2.5 NTU) so the turbidimeter was verified as calibrated and the readings were still coming out high, over 2.0 NTU. So they switched back to the well source on 6/10/2020. The turbidity readings were 1.3 NTU after running the well water for 15 minutes. It is believed the high reading were because of the recent heavy storm events. I suggested contacting the circuit rider to help come up with some solutions. I also suggested cleaning the pre-filters more frequently and even installing a pre-treatment settling tank. |
