Details: | SUMMARY: Lead & copper alert received July 9, 2008 DETAILS: I called Analytical Lab and asked them to fax the July 21, 2005 and June 11, 2008 lead and copper results. I discussed with Jim Foster whether the sample sites used for the June 11, 2008 sampling round were Tier 1 designated sites as some sites were different from the July 2005 sampling sites. Jim said that he was not aware that they had to follow a sampling site plan for lead and copper. Site#1 was a brand new manufactured home with a lead result of 0.0260 mg/L. Site #1 was a designated site used in July 2005, but it has since been replaced with a new manufactured home. Results in July 2005 were NC for L&C. Site #4 was at Jims home with a lead result of 0.0127 mg/L> Jim said that he purchased a used faucet from the Habitat for Humanity Building Store 6 months ago. Copper was 5.35 mg/L at site #2. It is an ~15 year old manufactured home with copper pipes. Jim will check to see if the sites used in July 2005 were Tier 1 or Tier 3 sites. If so, he will retake the lead and copper samples using the designated sample sites after consulting with me and the other samples are voided. If not, we will precede with WQP and confirmation lead and copper sampling as required. Jim will distribute Public Education materials to all residents and fact sheets on lead and copper. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for information from Jim regarding sampling sites and Tier 1 or 3 designation. | ||
