Details: | SUMMARY: Tetrachloroethylene Detection DETAILS: A routine VOC sample taken 08/14/08 indicated the presence of Tetrachloroethylene (PCE) at 1 ppb. I spoke to Allen Tuck about the detection and what the source of the PCE may have been. He said he didnt know for sure, but expressed concern regarding some NW Natural Gas drilling in the vicinity of a tributary of their source, Fishawk Creek. I told Allen that the results did not trigger an MCL violation, but that they would have to begin quarterly monitoring for PCE, beginning 4th quarter 2008. I also told him that I would send him a fact sheet on PCE in case he had further questions. ACTION NEEDED: System to begin quarterly monitoring for PCE. Results of the next 4 quarterly results will dictate if further action is needed. Any PCE detections must be reported in their annual consumer confidence report. | ||
