Details:	SUMMARY: Contact with Facility Regarding Coliform Detections and Water Treatment System DETAILS: Returned call to Fred Hilden (owner) to discuss new water treatment system and necessary plan review and also recent coliform positives throughout system. In recent water system survey Casey noted new water treatment system (filter, water softener, charcoal filter, nanofilter - 0.2 um) which replaced simple sodium hypochlorite system. Historical problem with excess iron in water. Fred wanted to discuss recent coliform positives. Problems began after new system was installed but not without inconsistencies since the source came up clean on occasion. Sept 3 first positive. Sept 8 2 of 4 were positive. Shock Cl around Sept 16. No positives on Sept 26. Oct 14 positive. Oct 17 3 of 4 positive. Reshocked system. Oct 27 4 of 4 positive. Nov 2 4 of 4 positive, also well head positive. I suggested he have a seasoned sampler sample from wellhead to verify that source is problem. Once determined, probably needs to begin hypochlorite addition as longterm fix as there are no obvious issues with wellhead seal. Also, will send docs to Portland for plan review. ACTION NEEDED: Wait for Coliform results.
