Details:	SUMMARY: Response to total coliform positive routines in November DETAILS: Alan called to indicate that four of the five required routines were total coliform positive, e.coli absent. Results came back at 11 am on 11/18/08. These were required because of a total coliform positive in October. Public notice distributed to users in October. Alan feels the cause of the positive problem is the storage tank. In addition to flushing the lines, he has chlorinated and flushed the reservoir, and will take special coliform samples in the distribution near the tank. ACTION NEEDED: Alan to take special coliform samples in the distribution system near the tank where the shock chlorinating occurred. Alan to work with County or DWP if any follow up samples are positive. System will provide public notice when problem is resolved. System to take 5 coliform routines in December. County and DWP to provide support as necessary, especially if follow up samples are positive.
