| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive TCR DETAILS: Mike Reedy called. The laboratory had contacted him and told him the 10-8-08 routine quarterly sample was positive and that repeat samples were required. Mike called me with the question. The water system is spring fed and serves 12 seasonal cabins at the Lake of the Woods in klamath County. The spring dries up in the fall and winter thus the cabins are not supplied with water from sometime in October until April when the spring starts flowing again. Mikes question was about the repeat sampling. If the spring does not have adequate water to take the required samples what should he do? ACTION NEEDED: I suggested Mike was to provide Public Notice to the system users that the October quarter routine sample was TCR positive and that the required repeat samples were not taken because there was inadequate flow from the spring to take the repeats. This would be a notice for Failure to Monitor. Then when the flow in the spring increased in April but before the system is used, take a sample to assure that the water complies with the Drinking Water rules. I also obtained additional contact data from Mike: The contact of Rollie Seibert is not current. Rollies daughter maintains the books for the system. Mike will send me her contact information.
