| Details: | SUMMARY: Response to sewage line spill - City of Sweet Home DETAILS: Melanie from OERS called at 11:30 am on 12/15/08, alerting the DWP of a ruptured sewage line main in the city of Sweet Home, at the location of 9th avenue and Highway 20. As a result of the line break, approximately 5-7 gallons per minute of sewage are flowing into Ames Creek, a tributary of the South Santiam River. The incident began at approximately 10:30 am on 12/15/08, and is ongoing. The contact at the city of Sweet Home is Pat Wood at 541-367-6359. ACTION NEEDED: DWP left message with Mike Wolski of the City of Albany, and informed Jeff Houchin of CH2M-OMI (operators of Lebanons plant) at noon on 12/15/08 of the incident, and passed on Pats contact information with Sweet Home. Both Albany and Lebanon have intakes downstream on the South Santiam River, according to DWP Linn County Surface Water Intake map. DWP to provide support as necessary. | ||
