| Details: | SUMMARY: Plan Review 178-2006 Equipment has been installed. DETAILS: Bob Nash (cell 541-519-8998) called because the equipment specified by PR 178-2006 has been installed. A representative from Adedge Technology Company (Eric 810-869-4413) was on-site for equipment start up. Treatment equipment was installed at both the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center and the Maintenance Building. The equipment included an Adedge AD 33 treatment unit for arsenic removal, and a Sanitron model S2400C ultraviolet unit. The Oregon Trail Center has residual maintenance chlorination at a level of about 0.3 mg/l prior to the treatment and that will continue for now, but there is no known problem with coliform in the source water. However, we reviewed the issue that the treatment unit may use up the chlorine and there may be no residual in the distribution system. Also, if coliform occurs due to the storage tank or distribution system, the UV treatment wont address the problem and the chlorination system may have to be re-installed to inject after treatment. ACTION NEEDED: DWP staff to inspect installation and complete final plan approval. | ||
