| Details: | SUMMARY: Source samples at Oak Grove spring DETAILS: I communicated via email with Mike of Hood River County Environmental Health regarding the status of obtaining a valid source (spring) sample at Oak Grove Water Company. Following total coliform found in the distribution system in the fall of 2008, a spring sample was collected on 12/3/08 at the water system, a special sample. Sample came back positive, however sample collection method was dipping into the spring box, which may introduce contamination into the sample. I worked with Mike to ensure that a resample was collected from homes very near the spring and before the reservoirs to obtain a sample, better reflective of the source. Two samples collected on 12/11/08 returned total coliform absent on 12/17/08 from separate homes down from the spring. ACTION NEEDED: Mike to fax over lab report documenting 12/11 coliform results taken downstream of spring to DWP. DWP tech staff to work with DMCE to ensure new updated source special samples are entered into the database. | ||
