| Details: | Received alert for an EC+ confirmation source sample collected from well #1. Spoke with Robert. When the well was inspected it was discovered that there was a missing plug/open hole on top of the well casing. There was also evidence of mice inhabiting the doghouse-like structure over the well. It is suspected that the mice and open hole are the source of the contamination. The well will have the hole plugged, be batch chlorinated, flushed, and additional source samples collected. Further action will be based on those results. The well will remain offline until the issue is resolved. Update: Five additional source samples collected on 7/8/20 after chlorinating and flushing the well all tested absent for coliform. The contamination issue is considered resolved. |
