| Details: | SUMMARY: Confusion about 2008 Nitrate sample DETAILS: DMCE staff did not understand which entry point the November 2008 nitrate sample had been taken from. I contacted operator Kerry Crab, who said that the pump went out for Well A (which supplies Entry Point A) sometime last summer, so they have been using only Well B for months. The November 2008 sample was taken from Entry Point B. They could not take a nitrate sample from Entry Point A without a functioning pump. So, their system will show a monitoring and reporting violation for missing the Entry Point A nitrate sample in 2008. They will fix the submersible pump at Well A by next summer when demand requires, and will submit two nitrate samples again in 2009. ACTION NEEDED: None | ||
