| Details: | SUMMARY: Unresolved total coliform violation DETAILS: The routine coliform sample taken on 9-30-08 was TC positive. On 10-2-08 I called and left a message with Mike Umbarger to do 4 repeat samples ASAP. I called Teresa at Umpqua Research Lab on 10-6-08 and learned that 2 of the 4 repeats were also positive. Spoke with Dieter Kohler on 10-7-08. He said that they are certain the problem is with the 7000 gallon cistern because the tests at the pump house and other side of the system have been good. He said that there is no good way to drain out the cistern after disinfecting, so I advised him to use about 2 gallons of bleach for a concentration of about 5 ppm chlorine. He plans to do this tonight and run it out tomorrow through residents sprinkler systems. I also advised on public notice and 5 routines. Sent him public notice. ACTION NEEDED: System needs to do Public Notice, disinfect cistern, and do 5 routines. | ||
