| Details: | SUMMARY: Total coliform alert DETAILS: On 12-3-08 I contacted the water system and spoke with Macy Yates staff of ODF. The alert was issued on 11-26-08. The operator did not get the alert until this week, thus repeat samples were not done right away. On Monday 12-1-08 a tree fell on the well head and single hand pump. Damage to the pump flange sustained. The well has been closed since 12-1 and will not be open until repairs are made. Repairs projected to be in January 2009. Discussed situation with Evan Hofeld who put in a recommendation to the compliance committee that repeat samples do not need to be taken and the repeat schedule be removed or the violation rejected. ACTION NEEDED: Pending repeat coliform samples until state Drinking Water Program compliance committee makes a decision on action. | ||
