| Details: | SUMMARY: Volatile organics detections DETAILS: Spoke to Bob about three VOC detections. First, Tetrachloroethylene (PCE) was detected at well #6 at 0.0048 mg/l, MCL is 0.005 mg/l, on 11/24/08. PCE detected at well #5 at 0.0014 mg/l on same date. PCE has been detected previously at these two wells. Fairview to continue with quarterly PCE monitoring at well #6, and annual at well #5. Trichloroethylene, was detected for the first time on well #6 at 0.00051 mg/l (MCL is 0.005 mg/L) for 11/24/08 sample. First detection of TCE at well #6. Well #6 continues to be off-line. ACTION NEEDED: Fairview to continue with existing frequency of monitoring for PCE at wells 5 and 6, of annually and quarterly respectively. Fairview to begin quarterly monitoring of TCE at well #6, in first quarter 2009. | ||
