| Details: | SUMMARY: Alert for nitrate level > half the MCL DETAILS: I received an alert that this PWSs Dec 2008 nitrate sample was over half the MCL, at 5.7 mg/L. Past results have not been quite that high. I sent Major Defoe an email stating the situation, that they are still in compliance but that they should watch that value over time. As a transient system, they are not subject to increased monitoring at this time. I also sent him a link to the webpage for the Southern Willamette Valley Groundwater Management Area that was established for nitrates, as I believe his center is within that designated region.
