| Details: | SUMMARY: Positive total coliform 10-23-08 DETAILS: 10/24/08 Janene called this office to let me know that the 1/4 repeat samples pulled on Oct 23 was positive. She said that she found out that one of the users of the system has done a repair of a line after the system has chlorinated. She was pretty sure that was the reason for the positive. I told her that may be the reason and she is an MCL and needs to send out a public notice for unresolved TC. I recommended that she chlorinate the system again and try pulling a special sample or two to see if that resolves the issue. If so they need to have 5 temporary routine samples by the end of November to resolve the MCL. After that they would be back onto regular quarterly coliform testing. She seemed to understand. I emailed her the public notice template. ACTION NEEDED: Continue to monitor the situation. | ||
