| Details: | SUMMARY: new membrane filtration update DETAILS: Mapleton WD replaced their existing filtration with membrane filtration and installed on-site chlorine generation. Their membrane filtration is credited with 2.5-log Giardia removal, and so they must provide 0.5-log with chlorine. The design flow of the plant is 280 gpm and the max will be 210. The as-builts are not finished yet, but the plant has been providing drinking water to the public for about a month. I asked Tom Charbonneau if this is ok and he said it is. The chlorine residuals and turbidity measurements are good. The as-builts will be sent to the DWP in a month. A tracer study will be completed. ACTION NEEDED: Await final approval letter from Plan Review Engineer and tracer study results. Conduct plan review inspection after final approval. | ||
