Details:	SUMMARY: Public Notice for Loss of Pressure/Main Line Repair DETAILS: Christmas Valley Domestic Water System contacted the Drinking Water Program regarding a water main repair which is scheduled to occur on March 5, 2009. The water system indicated that the contractor will be following the BMP for Cutting Into or Repairing Water Mains. The water system is also issuing Public Notice to Boil Water if they lose pressure. ACTION NEEDED: Send a copy of the notice to Portland and Springfield within 10 days. After the line is repaired, the water system will need to disinfect the section of line that was repaired and flush water main and customer services. After the flushing is complete coliform samples will need to be collected in order to determine that the water is safe to use.
