| Details: | SUMMARY: L&C Optimization DETAILS: SUBs 2008 Lead and Copper sample results, although below the Action Levels, did not meet the Optimization goals of <0.005 mg/L for Lead and <0.65 mg/L for Copper. Because SUB has a population over 50,000, they are required to strive for optimization. SUB tried blending, but it was not effective enough to reach the optimization goals. I met with SUB on 10/29 and mailed them a letter outlining the requirements on 11/12/08. SUB wrote me a letter on 12/18/08 that said they are hiring a consultant to assist them with the evaluation of treatment options. The contract with the consultant will require that the treatment recommendation be completed and delivered for my review by 9/30/09. ACTION NEEDED: Implement optimal corrosion control and take follow-up sampling. | ||
