| Details: | SUMMARY: Membrane Filter Log Reduction Study DETAILS: The City owns and operates a water system which provides water to approximately 3100 persons, through 1600 connections, which includes outside users, including the City of Wheeler. The City has both surface water and groundwater sources. The surface water supply if from Anderson Creek. Water is treated by a Memcor membrane water treatment plant. The City, through DPW, contacted HBH to provide assistance with the completion of a log-reduction challenge study for the membrane filters. Previously met with the City to collect data and US Filter testing information. Toured the city treatment plant and discussed course of action. I researched additional information available since last work was completed on this issue (in June 2008). Studied past Challenge Testing completed on Memcor membrane plants. Corresponded with EPA regarding interpretations of the regulations and applicability of other Challenge Tests. ACTION NEEDED: Provide further analysis when Oregon guidelines are released. | ||
