| Details: | SUMMARY: Four positive repeat coliforms DETAILS: Received alert January 12, 2009 regarding four positive coliforms. Spoke with Larry Hansen who told me the Spring Street Analytical will be taking four additional repeat samples at the same locations today, the 14th. I called Spring Street and spoke with a representative who informed me that the system had been chlorinated on January 13, 2009-- this qualifies as their corrective action. I told her that since they chlorinated the water system is required to wait three days before taking the second round of repeat samples so that the chlorine can be flushed out of the water. ACTION NEEDED: Public Notice is required. The additional repeat samples must be taken after the system has a flushed the chlorine outside. three days. Five routine samples will still be required in February. | ||
