Details: | SUMMARY: Three repeats positive for total coliform and E.coli DETAILS: 1/15/09 Spoke with Norm and he is issuing a public notice. He says that the new well and the distribution system are testing positive and the old well is negative. He will chlorinate both wells tomorrow, the storage tank and distribution system. After chlorine is flushed he will take two special samples. He will also collect five temporary routines in February. He requested I send him the state public notice, chlorination directions and a reminder about collecting the 5 routines in February. 1/15/09 Public notice posted defined the positive samples as containing a light strain of E.coli. I called Norm and he agreed to have the existing public notices replaced with the one I sent him. 1/23/09 Norm brought two special samples to the lab today. 1/26/09 Narm said one of the two samples collected on 1/23/09 came up positive.. He is going to shock chlorinate again on 1/28/09. He will notify residents of the chlorination and to avoid drinking the water. 1/28/09 Daniel Hough and I met Norm on site and helped him chlorinate. 2/9/09 I spoke with Norm. He brought two special samples in the lab today. 2/11/09 One of the two samples was positive for coliform. Daniel Hough recommended to Norm that he collect his five temporary routine samples for this month. I called Norm and informed him that he will have to post a new public notice. 2/17/09 I spoke with Liz from Neilson Research today and she said all five were negative. ACTION NEEDED: One routine sample will need to be collected in March. | ||
